Teen in serious but stable condition after being shot near 56th, Wayne

The Kansas City Police Department is investigating a homicide after a shooting Wednesday evening. That incident happened in the 5900 block of E. 40th Terrace.

A car crashed into a convenience store near Interstate 29 and Northwest 72nd Street about 2 a.m. Thursday. Police said the driver was trying to take his shoes off with the car in gear.

Woman, 10-year-old son injured in St. Louis drive-by shooting

Two people are recovering after they were found shot on a busy stretch of Interstate 64, at Boyle. St. Louis Police say first responders were called to help a man and woman who had been shot.

Kansas City police are investigating a shooting at a Midtown restaurant Saturday afternoon. Police officers were called at 2:35 p.m. to Lutfi's Fried Fish near 31st and Main streets on a reported shooting.

Police are investigating following the shooting of a 10-year-old boy and a 32-year-old woman that occurred in South City Friday night. Authorities were called to the 3900 block of Winnebago around 11:30 p.m. for a shooting. They found both victims conscious and breathing.

Five children were killed and a woman hospitalized following a mobile home fire in Lebanon, Missouri on Wednesday. Firefighters responded to a residence in the 1100 block of Ivey Lane just before 9:10 a.m.

A man was shot and killed in north St. Louis early Thursday morning. The unidentified man was found deceased in the 5700 block of West Florissant just after 4 a.m.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said one person has died in a crash on I-70 near Bates City. That incident happened around 3:02 p.m. in the westbound lanes of I-70 at mile marker 31 in Lafayette County.

Firefighters are working to extinguish an early morning fire in south St. Louis. The fire broke out in the 1400 block of South Vandeventer Avenue around 4:30 a.m. Thursday.
